I had an “AHA!” ❤️ moment when I was working on the back cover description of my I WISH YOU HAPPINESS book over the weekend.
I always thought of my book as a collection of heartfelt wishes that parents have for their children and children they care about.
It suddenly dawned on me that it was more than that…
They’re actually heartfelt EMPOWERING wishes.
Take these wishes for example:
I wish you dreams and aspirations, to spread your wings and reach for the stars. ❤️
I wish you courage and strength, for the magic begins at the end of your comfort zone. ❤️
I wish you imagination and creativity, for the world is a blank canvas and you’re a painter with no rules. ❤️
I wish you adventure and curiosity, to go where there’s no path and leave a trail. ❤️
They say to children they have the power to be the best they can be, to try new things, to break through the imaginary glass ceiling, to do and be anything they want, and to achieve amazing success!
It’s not just a book of wishes. It’s a book of EMPOWERING WISHES!
That’s what the book is about. Oh my! ?
Popular self-help books like How to Win Friends and Influence People and Think and Grow Rich spring to mind. No, I’m not saying my book is anywhere as amazing as those books. What I’m saying is that those books empowered me to grow, to be a better person, and to achieve success in life. Maybe my book will empower children too. If it does, I’d be so happy. ❤️
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think what I Wish You Happiness offers is similar to what those books offer – EMPOWERMENT.
We as parents have so many wonderful wishes for our children. Ultimately, those wishes are to empower them to be the best they can be, to try new things and experiences, to achieve success, to make lots of friends, to be kind and generous, and to be happy and loved.
